Dust Collection System
Manufacturing any product involves charging, mixing, transferring conveying and packing etc in which lot of dust is generated which needs to be extracted to maintain emission standards. KARYASIDDHI Dust collection systems do this efficiently and help clients achieve sustainability goals.
When a dust collection system is designed three things should be taken care.
Capture the dust with proper capture velocity and correct hood design. Based on this we calculate capacity of the system. Over designing increases fixed cost as well as operation cost due to more power consumption. Undersize will not give desired result.
Convey the dust with proper duct velocity. If velocity is less than required, the material will settle in the duct and the duct gets choked. This reduces the suction capacity; if duct size is bigger and velocity is less, cost will increase. If velocity is more, and duct size is small, pressure will be higher resulting in higher power consumption and operational costs.
Dust Properties :
Dust Collection can be in dry form or wet form. Hence selection of proper equipment is very important which is based on dust load, particle size analysis, properties of dust & temperature. Based on the above data the dust collections system can be either Bag Filter or Venturi Scrubber. If dust load is very high then Cyclone Separator can be used as preliminary separator.
A Cyclone Separator can achieve 80% to 85% efficiency down to 20microns and the Pulse Jet Bag Filter efficiency can be more than 99% down to 2 microns. KARYASIDDHI offers a customized solution for all your Dust collection requirements.
